Adventur Travel App
UX Case Study
Adventur Travel is an app created for travellers going on holidays and wanting to book activities and things to do, can book before you go on holidays or while away. This app was designed after conducting user research and competitor analysis of similar apps.
Key tasks were tested, on an IPhone 6S, sessions were recorded and available on request. The two personas used in the first testing were incorporated again in the final prototype testing ensuring all the user needs were addressed Jackie the Traveller being an older generation liked more obvious functions when Becky the traveller is more intuitive to what functions were swiped and tap.
Initially, a dry run was performed with the chosen functions and some extra screens were incorporated to provide a smooth transition.
The key findings were:
• include a welcome button on the home screen
• activate search both return and tap
• include global navigation menu at the bottom of all screens for easy navigation for users
• pop up windows to appear in the middle of screen so no need to scroll to read.
In the usability test conducted overall, the prototype is functioning and performing well.
The following changes will be made on the welcome page add a welcome button to ensure both user groups know how to enter the site. Ensure a navigation button is present on all pages, so the user has the comfort of easy navigation throughout. Set up pop up windows in the centre of screen, so the user need not scroll up to read the panel. After these amendments have been made I suggest to do some further user testing.
